The Leyend of

Santa María

It is said that this room was the favorite retreat of an old sea captain — a distant relative of the Marquesa — who, after years of sailing the oceans, retired to Querétaro, but not before bringing with him a fragment of the mast from a legendary caravel, which he hid beneath the wooden floorboards of this room.

Legend says that if you lie down on the bed and listen carefully on windy nights, you can hear a faint creaking of wood and the whisper of waves. It’s the spirit of the Santa María, still searching for a new harbor. If you ever find yourself at a crossroads and in need of clarity, at dawn, a peculiar sailor’s knot may appear on your curtain cord — pointing you toward the boldest direction for your next adventure.
